A Juried Photography Exhibition
of New England Artists
July 2 - August 1, 2021
The competition is now closed.
This exhibition of photography by New England artists seeks images that touch on street photography in all its forms: people, places, and intriguing juxtapositions. We want original interpretations of what it means to highlight public spaces and use the camera as an exploratory tool. (Images may be of any location.) All genres welcome, from documentary to experimental, from gelatin silver to digital color and beyond. Artworks which use photography as a primary media are eligible.
This is a juried regional exhibition. New England artists only. Submission by online jpgs. Maximum width 36", work must be framed or include pins or hanging method. 50% gallery commission. All work must be for sale. Minimum sale price: $600.
$18 for one image, limit of 5 entries per artist. Juried by a committee of Bromfield Gallery artists. (Entry fees support Bromfield's programs of showcasing New England artists.) NOTE: You may enter up to 5 artworks, but each artwork must be submitted separately.
All accepted artwork will be exhibited online. The top ten pieces by 10 different artists will be shown in person at the gallery from July 2 - August 1, 2021. The gallery is open to the public Fri-Sun, 12-5. For these ten artworks, the artist is responsible for dropping off the work. No shipping.
Title each jpg: Artist Name: "Title," media, size, year, price. If possible, make the longest side no longer than 1200 pixels, or 16 inches at 72 dpi. You may condense the jpgs as medium quality. Please prepare carefully; no revisions are permitted after submission is complete.
We welcome emerging and established artists regardless of race, ethnicity, gender identification, sexual orientation, religious beliefs or disabilities.
Deadline for online submissions: Tuesday, June 1, 2021 by midnight.
Notification: June 21, 2021.
Dropoff of artwork: Sunday, June 27, 2021.
