This image was painted after a prolonged drawing exploration of a park on the Hudson River called Poet’s Walk.  To me it evokes the pleasures of discovering new geographies, of feeling one’s body surrounded by strange and exotic sensations.   Looming mountains, unfurling streams, the promise of the sea to come – all are here.
