SOLO 09 COMPETITION

Awards two solo exhibitions, all expenses paid, to two New England Artists who have not previously had a show in a commercial gallery.

Submission deadline: Oct. 1, 2008.

VISITING ARTIST PROGRAM

How to Apply

We accept proposals for both solo and group exhibitions. We ask artists to submit the following materials:

    • Resume and artist's statement
    • 10-20 slides numbered and clearly labeled with your name, title, dimensions, media, and date of work. We encourage the submission of one coherent, recent body of work.
    • OR
    • 10-20 low-res jpgs on a CD. Please number them clearly and don't embed in a program such as Powerpoint.
    • Image list with the same information and numbers corresponding to your slides or jpgs.
    • Optional supporting materials (i.e. articles, reviews).
    • SASE for return of slides or CD.

    Submissions are reviewed on an ongoing basis. We do not accept submissions by email or artist website. After a favorable review, we ask the artist to bring in 3 to 5 pieces of work.

Exhibition Details

Gallery rental (I, II or III): Starting at $700, depending on which space and which month. Contact Gallery Manager for available slots.

Bromfield sends out press releases and postcards, in addition to a gallery ad and listing in Art New England, and listing in ArtScope. Exhibit information is also posted on Bromfield's website. Visiting Artists receive 300 cards for their own use.

The gallery will help install the show with the visiting artist. Visiting artists receive a 50% commission on sales.
