FAQ's

Does my work have to be framed?
No, but it does have to be ready to hang on the wall by pins or hardware - which the artist must provide. Only 2-D work is accepted, but the artwork may protrude from the gallery walls by a few inches. (We don't have pedestals for sculptures.)

Does the artwork have to be square, or exactly 12x12?
It can be any shape, as along as the longest side is about 12" or less, including the frame (if it's framed).

If I'm going to be out of town that weekend, can I ship the work or drop it off early?
No. The work has to be dropped off in person on Sunday from 12-2. But a friend may drop it off and fill in the paperwork.

Do I need to prepare anything ahead of time?
Just bring in your artwork that Sunday. We'll have the forms and price lists to fill out.

Who is the jury?
Bromfield Gallery artists. They will jury the work later that afternoon, and the show will then be installed. Artists will be notified to pick up any unaccepted work on Wed, Nov 30, from 12-5.

How big is the show?
In the past we've had 50-100 artists submit work, with several hundred artworks on display, salon-style.

How does the "Everything Must Go" discount work?
Some or all of the work may be discounted up to 30% as the exhibition continues. But any discount is taken out of the gallery commission. In other words, the artist receives the full 50% of the price they place on their work. Commissions will be paid to artists by February 1. (Artwork in the show is cash and carry, for holiday purchases.)
